Jay Electronica's Friday night Periscope session got pretty real.

As far as we know, Jay Electronica doesn't have an album on the way, but he has opened a Periscope account, and he got pretty comfortable speaking his mind via live stream Friday night.

Jay seemed to be in a pretty excitable mood while answering fan questions in the back of his car, letting viewers know how he felt about a few rap's popular topics.

Kendrick Lamar's name came up multiple times, and Elec's response wasn't entirely consistent throughout. When first asked to put on some K.Dot (he was bumping the new Future), the rapper claimed he only liked Kendrick's Gunplay collab, "Cartoon & Cereal," playfully suggesting (at 6:00) that "other than that we don’t know what n---a talking about."

Later on however, he defended the Compton rapper against his fans. "Don’t say fuck Kendrick, that’s still our brother,” he suggested, but when someone decided to say K.Dot could body Elec in a battle, he went in on the TPAB rapper once again. "Kendrick is my son, Kendrick is my baby, Kendrick wishes he could be me," he says at 12:40.

Jay had mostly good things to say about artists like Drake and Freddie Gibbs, but when 50 Cent's name was brought up, he let loose one more time. "Right now he got the potential to be a rapper but he’s on some sucker shit… and we will slap 50 Cent’s eyeballs loose out his scalp.” Look for that particular tidbit at the 12:00 mark.

Naturally, the clip has been taken down from Periscope itself, but someone has been kind enough to upload it to YouTube. Tune in below.

UPDATE: Montreality has put together a reel of some of the most memorable moments from Jay Elec's Periscope session, complete with the actual questions from users. View it below.
